Fashion Flat of Time Based dress

This is my fashion flat of the same dress we have designed in my Time Based project. I changed the weight and the P.T of the dashed lines to create different effects to show the braiding and the stitching of the sleeves and on the outline of the body shape.  

Fashion Illustration of Time Based dress design

We got given our brief today and I got stuck into it by creating my fashion illustration of the dress we are creating in my Time Based project. I have used different brush strokes and thickness to show the details of the dress such as the braiding on the arms, the reverse appliqué on the cuffs and the stitching around the silhouette. I really like this fashion illustration because of the detail applied to it to make it look very elegant. 

Illustrator - clothing details

Using my fashion flat dress design i created the previous week I worked further with it today adding stitch to it. Using the pen tool i drew a line on the bottom on the dress and adjusted the stroke of the line to a dashed line (2pt) to create the stitching effect. I like the effects of the stitching it makes how it makes the dress look more real.

Brush details using illustrator

I used a variety of plain brush drawings and water colours to create my fashion illustration. Inspired by the photo of Olivia Palermo sporting a Valentino black strapless dress with a white collared blouse underneath it i created this illustration. I really like it I think it looks really cute and I enjoyed using the different brush tools to get different effects.

Creating patterns on Illustrator

Using my initial shoe design from my previous post I created my own unique pattern for a dress. I started by playing with the scale, rotation and colour of the shoe to create different looks, using a colour pallet of black and hot pink.
